Woodley man dies after car hits tree

A man in his 60s has died after his car hit a tree off a main road in Eversley Cross.

The driver, Stuart Arnott, 63, from Highgate Road, Southlake, Woodley, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Hampshire Constabulary is appealing for witnesses to come forward if they saw the crash on the A327 near Yateley on Saturday.

The incident happened around 11.50pm as the black Honda Insight, which was travelling north on the carriageway, left the road and collided with a tree outside Busta Farm.

Anyone with information is asked to contact PC Jonathan Peace at Whitchurch Roads policing unit on 101, quoting Operation Bayan.

   This is my father you are writing about! His accident did not happen Friday, it actually happened on Saturday. How can you possibly be asking for witnesses if you haven't even got the correct date?!!!!
