Schools on alert after attempted abductionsA second attempted abduction has sparked a safety scare at schools after a girl was told to get in a stranger’s car. Headteachers have sent safety alerts by email and text message to warn parents of the two attempted kidnappings, while pupils have also been warned to be alert.A police spokeswoman said: “We were called by the school to the report that, at 8.20am, a beige vehicle – possibly a 4x4 or pick-up type vehicle – stopped near a Year Seven pupil and told her to get into the car.”
