Go-ahead for one-way Station Road

Blueprints for a £5 million link road aimed at reducing the traffic bottleneck around Wokingham railway station have been approved, including plans to make Station Road one-way.

Wokingham Borough Council’s executive committee last night agreed in principle to the designs for the road, which will link Reading Road with Station Road.

The council is working with Network Rail and South West Trains on the project, which includes rebuilding the station.
