I completely agree 'Christian99', I cannot fathom why people would risk going through such high levels of water. As a taxi driver in Wokingham and surrounding areas the amount of people willing to risk their lives/cars to gain a few minutes on their journey is crazy. Don't get me started on level crossings, sometimes it's scary to see.

Redlake Lane in Wokingham is always flooded. It's because it passes through a ford !!

Someone died recently when their car got submerged in water in a ford near Newbury...

It never ceaes to amaze me how people go through the ford at ridiculously high levels. It also scares me as closing the ford permanently (which will happen if these muppets continue) will result in about 30 minutes of delays in the morning attempting to go through Twyford, which may as well just be closed in rush hour.

The Foudary in Mortimer is looking very high and the road through Grazely was definitely starting to become more water than tarmac... We only need a few more days of rain I think before the regular flooding of the roundabout by the train station/ Cinnamon Tree occurs.

It's really bad in the West Berks villages this morning as well. My car didn't have it's wellies on and found some of the puddles hard going.

Perhaps Get Wokingham should open a book until how long until the first report of a vehicle stuck in the Lands End Ford. You know that with this weather it's just a matter of time.
