Snow good teens rapped by police

Scores of youngsters in Wokingham who have been up to snow good during the cold snap have been warned about their behaviour.
Police received 12 reports of snowballing incidents across the borough where cars and pedestrians were being targeted by children and teenagers, between last Wednesday and Saturday.

Officers also received reports of a purpose built metre-high snow wall which was obstructing motorists in Lower Earley last Wednesday.
PC Naomi Jolliffe, from Wokingham police, said: “Snowballing can be harmless fun but it can also be upsetting and intimidating.
“There is no difference between throwing a snowball or throwing an egg or other object, particularly when they are aimed at houses or cars. It is not fair and upsets people.
“Throwing snowballs at cars is particularly dangerous – it has been a frustrating and dangerous enough time for drivers as it is without the extra hazard of having snowballs directed at them.
“The snow is now more like ice, so even more dangerous to people, cars and houses.
“Incidents of criminal damage or assault caused by throwing snow or ice at people, property or cars will not be tolerated.”
In a separate incident, eleven boys aged between 10 and 15 were found to be in possession of eggs following a stop-check in Shinfield Rise on Sunday, January 3.
The eggs were confiscated and letters have been sent to the parents of those youngsters involved by Wokingham Borough Council.

Give these pathetic spineless individuals a shovel and make them do 20 hours community service clearing the schools and pavements.
