A blueprint to build thousands of homes to the north and south of the town, as well as large settlements at Arborfield Garrison and in Three Mile Cross, has been unveiled by the council yesterday.
Almost 15,000 new houses will be built over the next 20 years across Wokingham in line with government guidelines about development as part of the borough council's core strategy.
Land proposed to take thousands of new homes includes an area near Dowles Green to the north of the town.
The core strategy plan will not only deal with housing, but also rural areas, school, transport, open spaces, leisure facilities and affordable housing.
The document was unveiled during a meeting last night at the council's Shute End offices.
