Sunday's Wokingham Half-Marathon has been cancelled because of the snow, it has been announced.
Organisers decided to call off the event following a week of bad weather for fear it would be too dangerous for runners.
A total of 2,750 people were set to take part in the gruelling 13.2-mile race, which many participants use to raise cash for charity or as a training session for the Flora London Marathon in April.

This morning Peter Evans, chairman of the organising committee, said the group was looking at the possiblity of rescheduling the half-marathon.
“The ground was too treacherous to let people run on.
“It’s not going to improve by Sunday morning, which is disappointing.
“We are looking at the possibility of rescheduling it now.”
