After Saturday night’s surprise 8-0 thrashing at the hands of Swindon Wildcats, Bracknell Bees player/coach Claude Dumas insists the upcoming game with Romford Raiders has taken on even greater significance.

Last week, Dumas claimed that if Bees beat Swindon in their showdown in Wiltshire, it would have cemented their place in the top eight of the EPIHL and all-but secured a play-off spot.

Basingstoke travelled to the Hive having lost for the first time in seven games, a 4-2 defeat by Slough Jets, so player/coach Steve Moria would have been looking for an immediate response against Bees.
