Susy Stark shines at Hall Place

Susy Stark, riding Otis, was the winner of the dressage at Hall Place, Tilehurst.
She scored 69.2-per-cent in the novice class and was runner-up to Chapel Row’s Tessa Hempell (68.8) on Wyona in the preliminary with 67.7.
Stark (pictured) came to Reading from Wales last year as a trainee instructor with Otis, a five-year-old Welsh Section D Cob. The talented young rider, who has trained her handsome horse since a yearling, recently passed the BHS Stage 3.
Her aim is to become a senior riding instructor and to run her own riding school.
The next dressage and combined training event at Hall Place is on June 6. It will be sponsored by Tidmarsh Stud.
