Zingarevich extends stay to help Reading FC land transfer deadline day targets

Reading owner Anton Zingarveich has admitted there are deals to be done on transfer deadline day.
The 30-year-old Russian owner has extended his normally brief stay in the country to help manager Brian McDermott land his top targets before 11pm tonight.
The Royals boss has ruled out a move for Blackpool winger Thomas Ince after being priced out of the market by Blackpool, but Zingarevich revealed there were still other possibilities.
He said: "We've made some bids as you know. We will see what comes out of it.
"It's difficult. If you're a buying club there is always a selling club and good players are hard to get right now.
"We are trying to do something, but with the players we have here we are winning and drawing games too."
Zingarevich said that he had become used to Royals' late comebacks in his year at the club following Adam Le Fondre's brace to earn a point against Chelsea.
Royals are out of the relegation zone and into 17th place on goal difference with a home game against Sunderland next up on Saturday (3pm kick-off).
"We seem to win only if we go a goal down," Zingarevich joked.
"To draw 2-2 against Chelsea after being 2-0 down is a great result.I knew if we scored that anything could happen.
"The end of last season was great, the beginning of this one not so great, but we have managed to turn it around and now results are going our way.
"I'm not thinking about relegation, just winning every game. If we do, then everything will be fine. The spirit is what gets you over the line."
And after some fans were calling for McDermott's head earlier in the season, Zingarevich knew he always had the right man in charge.
He added: "I've always trusted Brian. It's been a new experience for everyone and we have all learned. I never had hesitations (with McDermott).
"We knew it would be difficult, every team in the Premier League has good players.
"But we are playing against all of our direct competitors at home and we are in a good position now."

For a business to grow you need to sustain and build on your current position. Anton is playing 'Russian Roulette' by not acquiring the right assets (players) to give the Club a real fighting chance of survival.
Yes it is difficult to attract players when you are fourth bottom but then there was limited investment in the Summer.
Result McDonet & Co were panic buying at the worst possible time in the January window when every Agent/Club are trying to screw you.
I just cannot understand how we can possibly be making the same mistakes as last time when we were in the Premiership. It is not rocket science it is just simple business sense. Our strategy in many ways is as stupid as QPR's. Both are at extreme opposite ends of the spectrum and both will probably fail. Indeed both are gambling but some times it pays off.
But what a stupid way to run a business by 'spinning a dice' but then that's football. You know it makes no sense. Real facts from the real world. RFC will be crossing their fingers. Good luck.
