Reading FC are planning to give all their players the chance to shine during pre-season training, writes Jonny Fordham.
Striker Simon Church, winger Michail Antonio and defender Sean Morrison have attracted interest from other clubs this summer.
Church is set to find himself further down the pecking order at Madejski Stadium, once Pavel Pogrebnyak arrives, and the Wales striker is a target for Leicester City, Brighton, Crystal Palace, Bolton and Watford.
However, Royals’ director of football Nick Hammond told getreading that manager Brian McDermott will run the rule over all his players next month before deciding on his final 25-man Premier League squad.
Hammond said: “It’s been a long summer and we are very keen to get the squad back together and have a good look at where everyone is.
“With Premier League football ahead of us the players will all want to make their mark and get the most out of what is set to be a very exciting season at Reading.”
