Le Fondre in line for Reading FC start at Birmingham CityBy Jonny Fordham

Top Scorer Adam Le Fondre is set to replace Jason Roberts for Reading’s last game of the season at Birmingham City (12.30pm kick off) tomorrow.
After consulting with the Football Association, Royals decided against appealing Roberts’ red card in last Saturday’s 2-2 draw at Crystal Palace.
So the 34-year-old striker is banned for the clash at St Andrew’s as well as Royals’ first two games in the Premier League next season.
Le Fondre is overdue a start having come off the bench and scored five goals in his last four appearances.
However, McDermott refused to confirm the in-form marksman will be in his side, joking: “I wouldn’t even tell my own mother that!”
Birmingham are all but guaranteed a play-off place, but Chris Hughton will be hoping his side can move up the table and secure home advantage in the second leg of the semi-finals.
McDermott said: “You have your goal and that is to win the game.
“First and foremost we still have to perform. We’ve done that all season and generally we’ve got a result.”
Royals fans have been in full party mood since they were confirmed as league champions, but McDermott insisted that it has been business as usual for the players in training at Hogwood this week.
He added: “We’ve got one game to go and four thousand fans there so we owe it to them. They will have a great day.
“I remember going to Watford (for the final away day) a few years ago and we got beaten 3-0 and it was horrible. I like it when we do ourselves justice and I’ll look forward to the bus journey home too.”
