Jason Roberts has been hailed as one of the best signings the Championship has ever seen.
Reading boss Brian McDermott signed the 34-year-old from Blackburn Rovers in January and the powerful striker has made an instant impact, scoring six times in 16 appearances and inspiring Royals to promotion.
“He’s the kind of guy that we needed and he’s become so good for the club,” said McDermott. “Jason is an amazing player and has probably had the biggest impact that any player has ever had at a Championship club ever.”
