LIVE: Manchester City v Reading FC
By Jonny FordhamMarch 13, 2011
Jimmy Kebe and Andy Griffin could both start for Reading today in their FA Cup quarter-final at Manchester City (Live on ESPN, 4.45pm kick off).
Injury hit Kebe (knee) and right-back Griffin (Achilles) have both travelled to the North West with Royals, however, captain Matt Mills is a major doubt with a groin strain.
Manager Brian McDermott will be sweating on the fitness of Mills, and if he doesn’t make it, then Ivar Ingimarsson will lead the team out at Eastlands.
Jonny writes: What a game and what an occasion – the quarter-finals of the FA Cup for the second season running under Brian McDermott.
The last time Reading and Manchester City met in the FA Cup Royals drew 0-0 away, but were thumped 7-0 in the replay at Elm Park in 1968.
City have needed replays in three of their last four games in the competition, but they have scored in all of their last 14 home cup ties, bar one.
