What concerns me is I've seen this sort of thing all before. Infact I had two 'discussions' after another defeat at Elm Park with a Reading FC employee (managerial) and one of their directors. It was during the season we won the Simod Cup and the way Reading were playing in the league it was obvious what the outcome would be. Firstly I was told to 'shut up' by one, and the director couldn't understand my frustration at another loss of three points. His argument was 'Be fair, we played well'....to which my reply was 'didn't win though' and I finished the discussion off when he repeated his first quote for a third or fourth time....."Tell that to the F.A. at the end of the season when we're relegated....Please don't relegate us because we played well." He went off in a huff, and promptly got relegated at the end of the season.
No one likes to see their team occupy the bottom end of the table.....but to constantly read each week the stuff that has been printed from various outlets/personel at RFC is frustrating and basically ammo for those who would much prefer Reading to do their talking on the pitch.
I hope and pray that Reading stay up for all the supporters' sakes and those whose employment would suffer if relegated.
Thanks for your time in reading this
