A Royal view: Derby County 2 Reading FC 1

All in all it was a very disappointing defeat after the decent run of form recently, but a couple of silly mistakes and the referee spoiled the day for me.

We weren't playing up to our recent standards, but I felt that the first 10 minutes of the second half was a good period for us and felt that we could go on to win the game after the goal.

Apart from that we couldn’t get any flow to our attacking game because the referee blew up for petty fouls when he could have let play go on.

He also seemed to book our players for minor challenges and ignore some of Derby’s blatant fouls.

Shane Long, who looked more threatening than Simon Church, didn't do himself any favours by getting sent off, but Rob Hulse had an almost identical tackle in the first half and escaped with just a yellow.

Overall our wingers were both disappointing and Robbie Savage seemed to run the midfield even though we had three against two in the centre.

I felt sorry for Gylfi Sigurdsson who played well, but got substituted early on because of the tactics change.

A couple of chances later on could have seen us sneak a draw and I think we deserved a point, but no more from the game.

Royals' star man: Jay Tabb – The right-back had a solid display and provided an excellent assist for the goal

Rams' star man: Robbie Savage – He was still sprinting 50-60 yards to close down our players in added time and ran the midfield for large parts.

Stadium atmosphere: 6/10 - Considering that their end was sold out it was quieter than some much smaller grounds I have been to.

Best chant: Sung by two people right in front of me: “Every boy, every man join the Karacan of love stand up (stand up) stand up.”

Most pukka pie: I didn't eat in the ground, but the beer was extortionate at £3.25 for a bottle that was equal to half a pint.

Glove watch: I can’t remember seeing any outfield players wearing gloves, even though it was freezing cold.

expom- no they wont as they will get ejected from the ground as soon as they do, then n. and br. will be in the press reminding us of how ungrateful we are and what a lot he's done for us.

JM you are starting to look for another rock to hide under? That noose is getting tighter mate, you feel the pressure after xmas when the crowd start singing some nice songs about you and the board of directors.

Well another defeat, relegation beckons despite what all the optimists say/think. Rogers is inept in everything he says/does, no money to spend ?, no loan players of any quality in. wake up, smell the coffee,sack Rogers and his useless back room freeloaders,oh no that wont happen until January, then it will be too little too late.At the moment I wouldnt open my curtains if they were playing outside my house.

Yet another crap performance by a crap team with a crap manager, its about time you realised what is going on Majeski, and got your head out of your backside and sacked this idiot of a manager.
