Kevin Doyle in talks with Wolves
By Nick IveJune 22, 2009
Kevin Doyle is in talks with Premier League new boys Wolverhampton Wanderers.
I understand the Republic of Ireland international has held discussions with Wolves boss Mick McCarthy over the past couple of days concerning a move.
Reading have already resigned themselves to losing their talismanic front man after failing to clinch promotion back to the top flight last season.
Doyle has a £6.5million clause in his contract allowing him to talk to any interested club.
Aston Villa, Everton and Bolton are all monitoring the situation, but Wolves look like they are now in pole position for the player who has netted 56 goals in 164 appearances for Reading.
Doyle is currently recovering from a calf strain.

It's quite unwise for a Reading fan to get into a debate with a Wolves fan about passionate support, I think...

I was at the your place and we took more than 300....there were nearly 800 actually as alot of people bought on the day, 300 is what we pre-sold.
Also, we played on a midweek game, you played at ours on a saturday so of course you will lots more!!
Also, most of work here....i work in Brum, so know that unemployment is massive in Brum and the surrounding areas - eg over 20% in West Midlands (quote local tv) against one if not the lowest unemployment here (<1%)
You are the worst champions ever and will finish second bottom to brum who are even worse....oh we beat you twice with ease....certainly away when 3-0 flattered you...should have been 6-0
Your fans the most fickle ever when we beat you...it was all doom and gloom - BUT your first defeat in 10-11...what a joke...
Also, since when does the size of the crowd dictate how good your team is, who cares....just ask any muppet from Norwich (im glad they went done)
Also, We cant get more than 24000 in our ground, so re: prem grounds, your point being...for what its worth the Chelsea game in the first season we could have sold 3 times capacity (fact from the club at the time)
We have 12 full internationals .. used to have more but alot have left now (Shorey/USA/Fae/ Doyle(Ireland) Hunt(Ireland) Hunt(Ireland) Long (Ireland) Cisse (Mali) Matejosky (Czechslovakia) Federici (Aussie) Bikey (Cameroon) Gunnarsson (Iceland) Ingemarsson (Iceland) Kebe (Mali) Church (Wales)

Wolves may be ambitious and have lots of fans, but just because you finally got out of the Championship it doesn't make you a big club. In footballing terms, Villa, Fulham or Everton would be a better move for Doyle, but he won't be guaranteed a start every game, which i suspect he will want.

No sense of humilty, just bought out by the Premiership dream..a dream that always turns into a nightmare for them.
SKY has created a generation of people like this.
Its a real shame that proper football fans are few and far between.
