Boss happy with another bargain HuntBy Nick Ive

Steve Coppell believes Reading will have landed a bargain if new signing Noel Hunt proves as successful as his older brother Stephen.
Royals last week snapped up the Dundee United front man for £600,000 and Coppell said: “Any signing you make is a gamble. You want the odds in your favour as much as possible. It’s very difficult at times to get to know the personality of the player. With the Hunt family, though, and what we know about Stephen, you can draw your own conclusions about Noel.
“He’s a similar kind of player, so if we get out of Noel what we have got out of Stephen then it will be a bargain,” added Royals’ boss.
“He can play right across the front line. We have nine hard months coming up of very demanding football, more games than last year and we are going to need 20-odd players.
“I have known about him for many years because when Stephen was at Crystal Palace with me he used to talk about his younger brother being a good prospect. I have followed his career.
“All the talk has been of players leaving, so it's great to see a player coming here, and more importantly wanting to come here.”
