John Dell Senior Division outfit Park United will be known as Rotherfield Park United from next season.
The South Oxfordshire side have opted for a name change in order to recognise the merger with junior club Rotherfield United last summer.
It is hoped the amalgamation of the two sides will result in the formation of a sustainable, vibrant and ambitious club providing quality football coaching.
Rotherfield Park United has sides running from under-fives right through to adults, with its first team last season winning the Oxfordshire Intermediate Cup before securing their status in the top division of Saturday football in Reading.
And according to Andy Davies, Rotherfield chairman, it is hoped the merger can provide the club with the scope to become the leading grassroots football club in the area.
Having an adult team playing at Hellenic Football League standard or its equivalent within five years is also among the goals of the ambitious Oxon outfit.
Mr Davies said: "This is a fantastic opportunity for Rotherfield to continue our development as a club and build on our Charter Standard Development Club Status.
"No longer will our younger players have to leave the club in order to continue playing football. We have also just started our under-18s team and this will provide an excellent feeder for the adult team."
Mark Sumner, Park United's first team manager, added: "We are delighted to join forces with such a progressive club and build on our previous success.
"Park United formed eight years ago and have achieved five promotions, keeping a core of players that were with the club for our first game.
"We see this exciting merger as a great way to ensure a steady flow of talented and well coached players moving into the senior teams."
Rotherfield Park United have since returned to Bishopswood following the completion of development work to meet league criteria.
Pre-season training for both the first team and reserves is held on Tuesday nights at 7pm.
New players are welcome to attend.
