Hurst 2 Goring United Res 1

Hurst Res ended their season with a 2-1 win over Goring United Res to lift the Berkshire Trophy Centre Junior Cup.

The Division 2 outfit led the encouter, which was played at Scours Lane, the home of Reading Town FC, on Friday night 2-0 at half-time.

Division 3 side Goring pulled a goal back in the 55th minute through Adam Pickford.

Their cause was then further helped when Paul Mulvaney was given his marching orders after receiving a second yellow card.

Hurst, however, defended valiantly to protect their one-goal advantage and take home the honours.
