Sunday Football League Report - 3rd Division

March 27, 2009

Second-half goals from Phil Tiernan and Dan Merritt maintained Keephatch Park’s 100-per-cent record, as they came from behind to beat Victoria Arms 2-1.

Winkfield Res closed the gap on Queen’s Head in mid-table after a hard-fought 3-2 win.

John Allen and Neil Bridges twice gave Queen’s Head the lead, but goals from Martin Pring, Adam Chance and a late Mark Campbell penalty sealed Winkfield’s victory.

Cable & Wireless added to Bracknell Manics Res problems with a comfortable 4-1 victory.

Ricardo Gilda scored Manic’s only goal of the game, as Cable punished their inability to convert their chances.

Inter were on the receiving end of a 7-0 hammering from Royal Oak.

Goals from Nick Bright (2), Richard Massingham, Andy Wells, Tom Hobbs and an own goal aiding Royal Oak’s cause.

Matt Panton (4) and Ronan Malanca were the heroes as Syngenta saw off Finchampstead Athletic B 5-3.

Anthony Smith (2) and John Cole were on target for Finch.

FC Muchachos went into their home match with Bridge without a regular keeper, and they duly slid to a 3-0 defeat against the high-flyers.
