In-form Binfield and Ascot United marched on in the SBJ Insurance Challenge Cup.

The Moles dispatched Rayners Lane 4-1 thanks to Adam Crittenden’s first goal for Binfield since joining from neighbours Bracknell. Danny Wing, Scott Williams and Callum Whitty also got their names on the scoresheet.

Division 1 East leaders Ascot United won 4-0 at Penn & Tylers to maintain their unbeaten start to the season thanks to a brace from former Binfield striker Richard Mills and a goal apiece from Sam McIntyre and leading scorer Jon Bennett.

A 12-goal thriller at Sprinters Sports Centre saw Finchampstead overcome Prestwood 7-5, and Wokingham & Emmbrook’s recovery is well on track after their 3-0 win over Easington Sports at Cantley Park.

In the Combined Counties League, Sandhurst Town were beaten 5-2 by Raynes Park Vale at Bottom Meadow.
