Walton adds to squad, and has another signing in the pipeline

Bracknell Town manager Byron Walton was expected to finalise the signing of midfielder Troy Bantleman on Wednesday evening, and promised fans he was on the verge of bringing another new face to the club.

Walton is concerned that his squad is too thin, and moved to sign Bantleman this week ahead of Robins’ clash at Beaconsfield SYCOB on Saturday (kick off 3pm).

Once Bantleman has signed, he will then turn his attentions to another midfielder.

“It should all go through on Wednesday and he should be available for Saturday.

“He did pre-season with Beaconsfield and before then he was at Hayes, Hayes & Yeading and Chesham.

“He’s quite an attacking player who’s 6’1” and very fit.

“He’s a very good addition to the squad and hopefully I’ll get another one made by the weekend as well – that isn’t anywhere near done yet, though.

“We need another few additions to the squad because at the moment the squad is really small, especially with Jamie Clarke getting injured and Ian Harvey is away on holiday.

“Numbers are a bit stretched.”
