Captain Wendy Adler fired home the golden goal which booked Sonning Ladies 1s a place in the final of the England Hockey Women’s Knockout Trophy competition a week on Saturday.

The strike, which came in the first minute of extra-time, was enough to dispose of semi-final opponents Bishops Stortford in Sunday’s rearranged tie at Sonning Lane.
