This was another great performance by East Berkshire Operatic Society (EBOS). This sparkling production of Sweet Charity was directed by Phaedra Ashford with a light, tongue-in-cheek touch and an emphasis on character, costume and singing and dancing.

3. Review: Bracknell Choral Society present Purcell and Handel

Purcell and Handel were both composers for royal occasions in this country during the Baroque period. This concert opened with Purcell's ode, "Come, Ye Sons of Art" which  he composed for the birthday of Queen  Mary II in 1694.

4. Review: Wokingham Choral Society at Reading University

Whenever Handel's Messiah is performed, it is always a great event and this evening was no exception. The members of Wokingham Choral Society, under their conductor, Alexander Chaplin, rose to the occasion with some well-rehearsed and beautiful singing.
