An animal rescue centre is already facing a crisis this side of Christmas because it has been inundated with unwanted pets.
Staff at Wokingham's Animal Rescue Group at Brittons Farm say they have double the usual amount of abandoned dogs, and cannot take in any more.

4. AID IS OFF TO AFGHANISTAN

MORE than 600 boxes of aid will be shipped out to Afghanistan thanks to the generosity of people in the Wokingham district.
The boxes, containing dried foods and hygiene products, were collected from the Feed the Children headquarters in Ruscombe Lane, Twyford, yesterday (Tuesday).
