Launton can thank their goalkeeper Danny Clifford for keeping the score down as he made a number of outstanding saves throughout the match to deny Finch what would
otherwise have been a certain win.

Finchampstead picked up their first Hellenic League Division 1 East point on Tuesday night after a keenly-contested 1-1 draw away to Newbury.

Finchampstead opened their Hellenic Football League Division 1 East campaign with a visit to Englefield Green Rovers on Tuesday night.

For their penultimate pre-season match, the Finchampstead first team travelled to Reading to meet Reading Senior Division club Highmoor Ibis, and returned with a well-deserved 3-1 victory.

Finchampstead braved the near-tropical heat and humidity on Saturday, as they opened their pre-season campaign with a well-earned draw at Combined Counties Premier side Westfield.
