Fresh look for an old favourite

April 17, 2008

Fancy dress shop Fun ‘n’ Frolic – a favourite with students in the town – will undergo a smart new refurbishment.

The shop, which used to be where The Oracle is now and which has been open for 21 years, will have its exterior re-done.

The shop, beneath the new student accommodation, is owned by developers Unite.

Fun ‘n’ Frolic owner Kelvyn Marketis told the Evening Post how Unite wanted to improve the look of the building. He said: “We are definitely staying here and have no changes due, except we are getting a new frontage.

“Unite want to renovate the site. I guess they thought it was too 1960s.”
