American Rapper Eminem to headline Reading Festival 2013

By Caroline Cook
December 11, 2012

American rapper Eminem has been announced as one of the headline acts at next year's Reading Festival.

The Reading and Leeds Festivals will be the 40-year-old's only UK festival performances next year.

It has been 11 years since Eminem has played Reading Festival, having headlined the main stage with D12 in 2001.

The rapper, who is also known by his alter-ego Slim Shady, has sold more than 100 million albums worldwide and has had seven UK number one singles.

In May this year he announced he was working on his eight studio album which is set to be released in 2013.

Other acts already confirmed for Reading Festival 2013 include Deftones, Alt-J, Sub Focus and grime trio Boy Better Know.

Tickets for the festival are one sale now. Tickets will be on sale for a limited time at the 2012 weekend ticket price of £197.50 plus booking fee and postage. To book visit www.readingfestival.com.
