March 22, 2013

A burglar has been jailed and another given a community order for ransacking a Wargrave home.

Christopher Kupiec, 31, of Hazel Road, Purley, will serve two years for his involvement in a burglary in Silverdale Road in October plus six months for his part in the theft of two bronze cannons in Sonning Common in November 2011.

Recorder Nicholas Cole described the scene at the Wargrave home as one of "devastation" in Reading Crown Court this afternoon.
