Exotic cats on show in Twyford

Long-haired and Persian cats were admired when the village’s Scout headquarters hosted a cat championship.
The Longhair Cream & Blue-Cream Cat Association and the White Persian Cat Club welcomed feline friends to its 13th Championship Cat Show at the Loddon Hall Road venue on Saturday, March 2.
Around 50 well-groomed kitties from across the country impressed the judges, ranging from pedigree exhibits to household pets.
Kim Board-Allam, Longhair Cream & Blue-Cream Cat Association chair, said: “It was a really nice day and there were some lovely exhibits.
“People came from as far as the Isle of Wight and Cambridgeshire. Twyford is an ideal place with such easy access and it’s a good hall for us to use.”
The associations aim to promote a greater interest in the breeding, exhibiting and welfare of the cats.
A date has already been set for the show’s return next March.
