Neighbours asked to look out for raves after tip off

By Jennie Slevin
February 15, 2013

Neighbours are being urged to remain vigilant this weekend after police received reports of a woodland rave planned for weekend.

Police in Bracknell are asking dog walkers, cyclists and joggers to call them on the non-emergency number, 101, if they see any unusual behaviour, such as setting up of electrical equipment or large groups gathering in the woods.

The request comes as part of the police's rave reduction campaign.

Margaret Weber of Thames Valley Police said: " These raves not only cause a disturbance for residents, but are also a potential fire risk and once underway, takes away police resources which could potentially be put to better use within the community."
