Passionate Winnersh Parish Councillor steps down

A passionate councillor has resigned from Winnersh Parish Council after she was admitted to hospital.
Jill Plant has called an end to more than a decade of dedicated work in the area after she was taken ill and plans to move to Swindon to be close to her family.
She had been an active member of two committees and was instrumental in improving the play areas at Bearwood Recreation Ground.
Parish clerk Clive Hudson said: “Jill worked hard to make sure facilities are at their best for the community and will be sorely missed.”
At the parish council’s last meeting, members thanked Jill for her contribution and wished her well for the future.
There are now three vacancies at the council.
