Elderly couple in hospital following bedroom fire

A woman is being treated for burns following a fire at her home.
Fire crews from Wokingham Road and Whitley Wood were called to the blaze at Wroxham Road, Woodley at 6pm last night (Saturday).
The woman, thought to be in her seventies, was taken to Stoke Mandeville Hospital, in Aylesbury, after the fire started in her bedroom.
A man, also believed to be in seventies, was taken to Royal Berkshire Hospital to be treated for smoke inhalation..
Phil Holford, Wokingham Road watch manager said: "We're unsure how the fire started and it's currently being investigated".
