Attempted burglary in Earley

A burglar forced entry to an Earley home, only to flee when an alarm sounded.
A householder in Wokingham Road returned home when contacted by their alarm company at around 6.20pm on Tuesday and found the rear kitchen window open with tool marks around it.
Police believe the burglar gained entry to the home but made off when the alarm sounded.
