A man has been arrested after charity bags were taken from outside an Earley home.
The 30-year-old from Katesgrove, Reading, was arrested on suspicion of theft when a bag intended for charity collection was taken from a house in Wokingham Road yesterday.
The man has been released on bail until Monday, March 4, when he will report back to Loddon Valley police station.
Police were contacted at 10.41am about suspicious behaviour outside the home. When approached and challenged for identification, the man drove off.
Following enquiries with the charity, police stopped a vehicle with the same registration number given by a member of the public and arrested a man at 11.44am.
