Proud parents celebrated special arrivals when their bundles of joy were born on Christmas Day.
Midwives dressed up as an elf and a fairy to welcome the little ones into the world and one mum even managed to eat Christmas dinner before heading to the hospital.
Wokingham’s Prajakta Kataria, 35, and Vikram Raje, 40, welcomed their baby boy into the world at 8pm at the Royal Berkshire Hospital.
The couple, from Alderman Willey Close, were still deciding a name for their boy, who joins excited sister Yooshi, three.
Prajakta said: “I was at home when my contractions started, but luckily I did manage to get my Christmas dinner in before.
“The wonderful thing about a Christmas baby is the whole world will be celebrating with him on his birthday – he is extra lucky.”
Vikram added: “I feel absolutely great, it is a lovely feeling, a little boy to complete our family.
“We are absolutely thrilled to have a Christmas baby. The staff have been amazing and we would like to thank them for their help.”
Winnersh couple Matt Tyrrell and Charlotte Amaral-Ribeiro welcomed beautiful 9lb Isla Tyrrell into the world at 10.50am.
Matt said: “We would really like to thank Emma and Sarah our midwives, they were fantastic. They were dressed as an elf and a fairy – no doubt that will be a story we tell Isla for years to come.”
