Charvil Art Group celebrates 40th anniversary

Four decades of an art group were celebrated during an exhibition at Charvil Village Hall.
Charvil Art Group’s 40th anniversary year culminated with more than 100 paintings on display on Sunday, December 2.
Visitors voted for a piece by Kate Jeffery to win the club’s 25th Anniversary Shield as well as the Reg Smith Cup for the best painting in any medium, while other prizes went to Ken Docking, Mike Kimble, Bernard Bareham and Jim Bye.
A number of paintings were sold on the day along with Christmas gifts and flower arrangements from Twyford and District Floral Art Group, Charvil Senior Citizens Club and Twyford and Ruscombe Art Group.
Charvil Art Group meets for tutorials, demonstrations and workshops at The Jubilee Hall, in Park View Drive North, from 7.30pm to 9.30pm on Wednesdays between September and June. Visit www.charvilartgroup.co.uk
