Computers worth thousands of pounds stolen from the Holt School

By Jon Nurse
December 05, 2012

Thieves made off with thousands of pounds worth of computers from The Holt School.

Burglars targeted a new computer suite after they broke into the secondary school, in Holt Lane, between 6pm on Friday and 11.30pm on Saturday.

Seventeen new iMacs, which pupils used for its specialist music software, were stolen from the school’s music department.

Headteacher Suzanne Richards said: “These machines, which were only purchased during the summer, had been funded by parental contributions.

“They have been used a great deal, not only by our A-level music technology students, but by all year groups and will be missed.”

Anyone with any information should contact PC Laura McCaughey via 101 or call Crimestoppers charity anonymously on 0800 555111.
