Your views wanted for Twyford bus survey

November 13, 2012

Bus passengers in Twyford will be consulted in the coming weeks as Wokingham borough council seeks to promote public transport.

Six weeks of consultation started yesterday, with an online form and paper copies at Twyford and Wargrave libraries, Waitrose Twyford and the borough council offices in Shute End, Wokingham.

Councillor Keith Baker, executive member for highways and planning, said: “This survey builds on those already undertaken in Woodley, Earley, Wokingham town and surrounding villages.

“They are important to understand how existing services are used so that vital links can be maintained and every opportunity can be taken to establish links where appropriate.

“If you live, work or visit Twyford, Sonning, Hurst, Charvil, Ruscombe, Wargrave and Remenham, we would love to hear from you.”

The consultation is online at www.wokingham.gov.uk/busconsultation until Friday, December 21.

Can we expect the services shown on your bus stop to be reinstated? Surely the article warrants a picture that was taken this century.

Is this report correct? It says that Wokingham are looking to promote public transport. Maybe there is a radical new policy announcement coming soon!
