Sex offence teaching assistant sentence postponed

October 31, 2012

The sentencing of a Woodley teaching assistant who admitted a string of sexual offences involving teenage boys has been postponed.

Emma Webb, 42, of Kingfisher Drive, was due to appear at Reading Crown Court for the hearing on Friday, October 26.

She admitted 16 counts of abuse of trust offences under the Sexual Offences Act during a plea and case management hearing in the same court on August 30.

Webb committed the offences, including having sexual intercourse and committing sex acts with teenage boys, while working as a cover supervisor supporting teachers in classrooms at a Wokingham borough school, which cannot be named for legal reasons.

Webb is now due to be sentenced on Monday, December 3.
