Lift rescue In Meachen Court

An elderly woman was rescued from a lift in her sheltered housing this morning.
A crew from Wokingham fire station was sent to Meachen Court off Palmer School Road at 8am where a woman was trapped in a lift.
Firefighter Ian Bellis said: "The lift was stuck at ground floor level so we used specialist lift keys to release her. She was a little bit shaken."
The crew attended the scene for around 45 minutes.
