A spiral sculpture has landed in a country park, the latest work by an Emmbrook inventor.
Harry Mansfield’s creation, titled The Spiral Sign, can be found in Dinton Pastures Country Park’s picnic area in Hurst.
The art resembles a ship’s propeller and turns and rises in the wind.
Mr Mansfield, of Clifton Road, said: “I build these sculptures just to see what happens and see if it looks nice.
“I like the idea of getting this movement from the air which is all around us and it gives back a moment of intrigue which is different for everyone.”
In 2001 Mr Mansfield, a gardener by trade, appeared on BBC One show Best Inventions with a reclining bicycle seat.
The sculptor’s new spiral can be seen on YouTube using the search term ‘Harry’s spinners’.
The 41-year-old added: “My mind is always on the next project and I am planning to take my sculptures to festivals and exhibitions this year and next year.
“I can see 101 uses for large one-off propellers and it all starts off as art.”
