Three pensioners were taken to hospital after a head-on smash in Finchampstead Road this afternoon.
Motorists were reporting gridlock after a black VW Tiguan, a blue Renault Megane and a silver Lexus collided at around 1.40pm.
The road reopened at 4pm after being closed between the junctions of Molly Millars Lane and Evendons Lane.
Three double manned ambulances, an air ambulance and two fire engines were sent to the scene.
Bracknell and Crowthorne firefighters cut the driver's door from the Megane to rescue the elderly male driver who had chest pain and breathing difficulties.
An elderly female passenger with lower leg injuries was carried from the car by fire crews.
Both of them were taken to the Royal Berkshire Hospital along with another elderly female passenger.
A Thames Valley Police spokesman said: "The most seriously injured is a 75-year-old woman who has a leg injury. The driver of the VW, a woman, was treated at the scene by doctors but did not require hospital treatment."
