By Becky BarnesSeptember 28, 2012
A pregnant woman due to get married tomorrow has been taken to hospital following a car crash this afternoon.
The woman, who is 31-weeks pregnant, was travelling to the Moat House Hotel, Sindlesham, for her wedding tomorrow with her fiancé and son when their Vauxhall Vectra swerved into a ditch in Lower Earley Way at around 4pm.
Firefighters from Whitley Wood station attended the scene at the junction to Measham Way but did not have to rescue any of the family from the car.
Crew manager Matt Martin said: "The car was in the ditch facing the wrong way but they were all out when we got there.
"We made the car, which was full of wedding stuff, safe.
"The woman complained of discomfort so we requested an ambulance."
The woman was taken to the Royal Berkshire Hospital, Reading, by ambulance.
