By Laura Herbert
September 25, 2012

Children enjoyed an afternoon of colouring, decorating plates and a picnic in the sunshine.

Almost 100 little ones and

their parents took part in a teddy bears’ picnic in Barkham to raise money for Alexander Devine Children’s Hospice Service.

The family event, which took place at Barkham Village Hall, Church Lane, on Saturday, was organised by Wokingham Fundraising Group.

Clare Dando, Wokingham Fundraising Group chair, said: “We would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who attended and supported our event. We intend to make it an annual event and look forward to seeing you all again next year.”

The event raised £400 for the charity, which supports the families of children with life-limiting and life-threatening conditions.
