By Laura Herbert
September 24, 2012

A carer has been rewarded for her hard work at a Recognition of Care and Kindness (ROCK) awards ceremony.

Healthcare assistant Sue Parfoot received cheers and a bouquet of flowers during the ceremony at The Berkshire Care Home yesterday afternoon.

She was nominated by Joanne Betts MBE, who has been living at the care home, in Barkham Road, since 2009.

The home, which has 50 residents, is run by Four Seasons Health Care, which regularly holds and award ceremony to recognise and honour staff.

Sabu Prothasis, care home manager, said: “Sue is delighted and very happy to have been recognised.

“The awards aim to inspire staff and reward their efforts.”
