A detached garage in Burgess Close, Woodley, was also broken into between midday and 11pm last Wednesday and a bicycle was stolen.

A further theft took place overnight between last Wednesday and Thursday, September 13, when offenders got into an unlocked garage in Bodmin Road, Woodley, and stole two bicycles that were not locked up.

A mountain bike was stolen from a garage in High Tree Drive, Earley, between 8pm on Monday, September 10, and 3am the next day, and a further bicycle was stolen from a property in Venning Road in Arborfield between 11.30am and 3.10pm on Sunday, September 16.

Police are also investigating a theft from outside the front of a house in Simmonds Fields, Charvil, around 7.30pm on Thursday, September 13, and an unlocked bicycle stolen from outside a restaurant in London Road, Wokingham, between 9am and 11.25am the same day.

There seems to be a lot of bikes that were not locked up, and even garages that were unlocked, what did these people expect! please note theives will go around garages and houses just trying their luck on the fact they may find one open......looks like this works
