Pooches strut their stuff at Broad Street Tavern dog show
By Jon NurseSeptember 21, 2012
Precious pooches were paraded at the Broad Street Tavern’s first charity dog show on Saturday, September 8.
More than 20 dogs strutted their stuff in eight hotly contested classes at the Broad Street pub’s contest. Categories included Best in Show, Most Beautiful Bitch and Most Handsome Dog.
Sophie and Hannah Gray, nine and 12, celebrated Chilli’s triumph in the Most Handsome Dog class.
The show was organised by landlord Clive Wallis’s wife Beth.
She said: “We got some really generous donations and the weather was beautiful. All the dogs were so lovely, I know it was a hard job to choose the winners.
“Clive and I have two Great Danes – we love our dogs – and we wanted to raise some money for Binfield Dog Rescue because they don’t receive lots of support as they’re not a registered charity. We will definitely do it again.”
The show raised £126.
