Improve journey times for Mereoak Caravan Park usersBy Laura Herbert

Bus passengers should enjoy reduced journey times as the final part of the M4 Junction 11 Improvement Scheme has been officially opened.
The dedicated Mereoak bus lanes and signals give buses easy access around the junction, as part of the £65 million traffic scheme.
Fleet Buzz’s 72 and 82 services are now using the lanes to operate via Mereoak Lane, offering a bus service to people living at Mereoak Caravan Park.
Reading Transport’s evening and Sunday service are also due to start using the new lanes.
Councillor Keith Baker, executive member for highways and planning at Wokingham Borough Council, said: “It has taken a while to complete this part of the M4 Junction 11 improvements but I am sure it was worth the wait.
“Anything that can help residents use a bus service rather than their cars has to be applauded.”
Bob Jackson, Fleet Buzz’s operations manager, added: “This is good news for bus users as it will provide the much requested bus link between the caravan park and Reading town centre.
“Other bus users on the 72 and 82 will see their journeys times reduced and become much more reliable during peak times of traffic congestion.”
