Rock out at Waingels College

By Jon Nurse
September 10, 2012

Weekly classes for wannabe rockers return to Waingels College next week.

The Rock Project Encore, a course for amateur singers and musicians, starts its second year in Wokingham next Tuesday.

Project leader Martin Kennedy said: “It’s not always easy to meet people with similar interests or play together.

“There is no upper age limit for the course and you don’t need any previous experience or even your own instrument.

“Some students from the Rock Project Encore have already taken the bands they’ve formed on the course and have gone on to perform their own gigs independently.”

The 90 minute classes cost £20 per week and are open to guitarists, singers, bassists and drummers.

Younger rockers, aged seven to 17, can join Rock Project sessions alongside the school timetable on Tuesday evenings.

For more information call Mr Kennedy on (0118) 966 3839 or email Windsor@therockproject.com.
